The OG – original gravel – is a gravel bike for an experienced hard riding racer friend of mine. He had some design input for the dimensions that I included in the design. It’s nice building with someone knows their way around bike geometry. The ideas started with some big 43mm Bruce Gordon tires. With the extra tire height we made the top tube slope downward slightly for better stand over height. It has a slightly less agressive drop to the handlebars for long comfortable days in the saddle. This ain’t a crit bike. It has a 73 degree headtube angle which works with the Enve gravel fork and tall tires to make the handling a bit more stable for off road adventures. The tube set is Columbus Life for a nice lightweight and lively ride.
This is one of the first bikes that went to a home outside my garage. It is really an honor having someone else ride one of my creations. The family of Lanhammer bike riders has grown by one.
